Facebook Camera App is Instagram Competitor for iPhone? - PostChronicle.com

Facebook has announced a new camera app for iPhone designed to 'enhance the Facebook photo experience.' The app allows you to upload several photos at once and edit them with captions and filters. You can also view a feed that shows only photos.

On Facebooks website they state, "When you launch the app, you'll see a feed of just great photos from the people you care about. You can swipe to see more of any album or tap to enlarge an individual photo."

A Facebook spokeswoman said, "Facebook Camera is about giving people a better Facebook photos experience on their mobile device. This app not only gives people the ability to view photos of their friends but also makes it much easier to share photos on the go."

This new camera app is being launched just a month after Facebook purchased Instagram, the popular photo-centric social networking site. The new app was not designed by Instagram's team, though, so people that are fond of Instagram can rest easy knowing that it will not be eclipsed by the new app. (c) tPC
